Mickey Wynne was born in Liverpool, England and was taught guitar by his daddy at the age of six.
By sixteen he was accomplished enough with this instrument to be teaching Julian Lennon guitar.
Already accustomed to long music listening sessions-both rock, folk and classical with his grandfather and uncles, Mickey started writing music at age nine, a talent that led to him, inter alia, becoming house writer for New York’s MCA Records.
Mickey’s writing projects have taken him to all five continents.
At home in Brighton, England he runs a small music production company, Harmonia Productions, recording singer-songwriters to help them to the next level of their careers .
At 15 Mickey cut his teeth with his first band – Captain Zombie and The X-Ray Plates.
After a successful career as a session musician, working with John Entwistle, Tim Rose and many others, he’s now trailblazing the live circuit with new band The Mickey Wynne Band – they previewed his new EP, Running on Empty – at the 12 Bar Club in ‘Tin Pan Alley’ – Denmark Street, London. Mickey and his band then played at his Running on Empty EP Release Party at Brighton’s Prince Albert

Mickey and his band are currently getting ready to play dates in the UK , Ireland and Germany in autumn 2011. A debut album is pencilled in for recording late summer/early autumn
